This month's SPT is giving gifts. No money is to be spent on these gifts. The focus is on the gift of service, the gift of a smile, the gift of a repurposed or gently used item, the gift of a kind word.For Tuesday, April 7: gift a family member.
This week, my twins are on Spring Break. This week I am going to gift them with my time. That means not spending the day cleaning, doing laundry or other boring taks. Every day this week, I have promised them that we would do something fun. Check out other gifts here.
Today, I took the twins and two of their friends to Pizza Hut for lunch. Each month, they earn gift certificates for reading and they have been begging me to take them.Then I took them to the zoo. It was freezing, but we had a great time!
The lions were out. The female kept messing with the male and he took a swing at her.
He was scratching his back on the stick.
Here he is thinking that these four little children would make a nice dinner. 
The chimps are my favorite. This guy was entertained by us.
This duck was hanging out in the Children's Zoo.
This ostrich was watching us walk across a bridge. He was not the least bit fazed by our loud voices.
The zebras are always fun to watch.
The four kids watching the jaguars pace back and forth. 
Tomorrow, we are going on a special adventure. Details and pictures to follow.

Wow, what great pics of the animals, especially the lions! So great you gave of your time to your kiddos. Lately, I've been trying to do that more. It feels so good and they love it.

we have spring break next week. what a great way to approach what could otherwise be a very long string of days with my son.
i will try to think of it as a gift giving opportunity instead.

We have a 2 week spring break and had a blast doing nothing.
What a neat idea for spring break. We to the beach for a couple of days. Then I gave them (or was it myself) the gift of spending a couple of days with Grandma. I have to work the next two days and sure they are having a blast with Grandma. I should find something fun to do on Saturday, just for them. Thanks for the inspiration!
