Star Struck

I have a confession to make... I am a total American Idol groupie. I have gone to the concert for the past four years and this year was the best by far. I took Allie, my nieces, my mother in law and father in law to see the top 10 idols from Season 8.
The show was awesome!
Michael Sarver was up first with Gavin DeGraw's "In Love With a Girl" and Ne-Yo's "Closer".
Megan Joy was up next. I didn't get any pictures of her that were any good. She sang Corrine Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On"and Amy Winehouse's "Tears Dry On Their Own".

Then it was Scott MacIntyre with Keane's "Bend and Break" and Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles". He was great on the piano and he was pretty funny talking about Simon's critiques and Ryan Seacrest's high five.
Lil Rounds was pretty good (again no pics) with Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You/Just Fine", Alicia Keys' "No One" and Beyonce's "Single Ladies".

Anoop Desai was entertaining with Elvis Presley's "Always On My Mind", Ne-Yo's "Mad" and Bobby Brown's "My Perogative".
Matt Giraud was also good...you can tell that he was once a dueling piano player! He sang Otis Redding's "Hard to Handle", Ray Charles' "Georgia On My Mind" and The Fray's "You Found Me".

Anoop, Matt, Scott, Michael, Lil, Megan also performed several songs together including the Four Season's "Beggin'" which was unbelievable.

After the intermission, Allison Iraheta rocked it out with Pink's "So What", Janis Joplin's "Cry Baby" and Heart's "Barracuda".
Danny Gokey sang Michael Jackson's "PYT", Santana's "Maria Maria", and Rascal Flatts' "What Hurts the Most" and "My Wish".

Adam Lambert was unbelievable! He was definitely the most talented idol with Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love", Muse's "Starlight", Tears for Fears' "Mad World", Foghat's "Slow Ride" (that he performed with Allison) and a David Bowie Medley that included "Life on Mars", "Fame" and "Let's Dance".
My favorite, Kris Allen, was great too. He performed Kanye West's "Heartless", Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine", Matchbox 20's "Bright Lights" and The Beatles "Hey Jude".

Of course we hung out after the show to get pictures and autographs.

Megan was beautiful in person and really sweet. She took the time to talk to everyone.
Matt was a little boring if I do say so myself. He just didn't show much personality when he was around the fans. Also, what's up with the curly mohawk? Not digging that too much.
Danny was very engaging with the fans. Here he was trying to talk to Allie and she was totally ignoring him and looking at me so that I could take her picture with him.
Scott was escorted outside by his twin brother, Todd. They were both really nice and Todd was really gentle and kind with Scott helping him get around.
Michael was the best with the fans. After he went through the crowd the first time, he came back and took pictures with the fans.

Adam, Kris, Lil and Allison didn't come out to sign autographs so we left and made it home around 12:30 a.m. The girls had a great time (so did I) and are already making plans for next year's concert!
