Homecoming

This is Sue. She wouldn't let me take any pictures of her! We prepared dinner for the two couples and three lone rangers at her house.

She set the table with all of her finest...

Ashley again.

Andrew and his date, Danielle

Sitting at the dinner table. They had filet mignon wrapped in bacon, mashed potatoes and green beans. For dessert, molten chocolate lava cakes with french vanilla ice-cream and raspberry sauce. I have tried several recipes for these cakes and this one is by far the best (and easiest which is saying something since it is a Martha Stewart recipe)
The crew leaving for the dance.

This is what I had when I got home. Sue gave me this bottle of EVIL chardonnay. Should I be offended?

Homecoming

Tonight is Homecoming at McDonogh. I am busy today making Shrimp Tartlets and Molten Lava Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Sauce. Back later with pictures and recipes.

In the mean time, check out my new favorite site, http://madebymarcie.blogspot.com/ Her Halloween Party Ideas are way too cool.

Have You Ever Fused A Plastic Bag?

How do people figure out that this stuff works?

This is really fun to do! Alden and I spent some time fusing my target plastic bags together yesterday afternoon. We found that the blue grocery bags tend to melt. Check back later to see what we create! It could be frightening...I may be found digging in the bag recycling cans at the grocery store!

Looking For A Good Recipe?
My friend, Maureen, the personal chef, has started her blog. She has her first recipe up, Prosciutto Arugula Flatbread. It is to die for and perfect with a glass of Chardonnay!

A Conversation in the Grocery Store

Kellen (age 7): "Lindsay: My Hookup with Justin. Mom, what will he tell Jessica? Who is Jessica?"

I am SO glad my son has learned how to read. It's really made for some interesting spur of the moment conversations.

Mo's ETSY Store

I have been a Mo follower for several years. It started back when her nephew, Jake, had cancer. I used to check on Jake's Caringbridge page all the time and Mo was a constant updater on the site. Mo and her sister, Staci, are very crafty people and I purchased a really cool cross and several necklaces from them. After Jake passed away, Mo started her own blog where she writes about her crafting, her husband, "Todd the Bod", and her two beautiful daughters, Ellie Sue and Gabbi Lou (Ellie's 1 and Gabbi is several months old...when she has time to craft is beyond me...but she does and her stuff is AWESOME) Anyway, she has had several posts about her mini books that she has made and due to the large response she received, she is starting an online class. You can purchase the kit for her first mini-book lesson on ETSY. It's ONLY $30 plus $7 for shipping.

This is what you get in your kit.

Mine shipped today! YEAH! Order as soon as possible because classes start on Mo's blog at the end of the week!
