Last week, Ammy went to Jump Rope Camp. One of the local middle schools has a jump rope team and they hold a camp every summer. She went every day for a week for three hours a day (that's a lot of jumping!) To end the week, there was an hour long performance where the kids did all sorts of routines and different types of jumping rope.
Here she is waiting to start a routine. Here she is doing "triangle". Three girls are turning ropes as the same time and the campers jump the ropes in some sort of order.Good thing she is a lot more coordinated than her mother. Still doing triangle. Waiting to jump with her partner. Both of them jumped together, turned around, switched places, etc. Double Dutch (my favorite)We bought a couple of long ropes so that we could try this at home. I'm not sure I can still do it after having 5 children! This is a video of Ammy doing double dutch with a rope exchange. Pretty darn impressive!
Here is a video of the Radical Ropers...the tricks they can do are amazing!
My name is Kim and I am an overachiever! At least that's what my kids tell me...and I have a lot (5) of them so they must be right. I have been married to my husband, Tony, for 18 years. I spend my time doing laundry, attending sporting events, creating things and planning events and parties. I firmly believe that a clean house is a sign of a misspent life!
